Ride on, G.I. Joe
This is one of the projects that I made in my Basic Printmaking Media class in the fall semester of 2021. I created my image using Photoshop and then printed it onto the special paper we use for lithography. I then made 28 prints with the lithography process that were distributed to the rest of the class for our exchange portfolio's. The original digital drawing is on the left, and the final printed version is on the right. It is my take on nostalgia, which was the theme my class chose to stick to for this project. It symbolizes a couple of things I used to do as a younger child, which is playing with G.I. Joe action figures, and riding an old wooden rocking horse at my grandparents house while waving a cowboy hat around.
