Hot Air Balloon Collage

This is a collage that I created in my History of Graphic Design class in the fall semester of 2021. The medium is newspaper and rubber cement. The size of this piece is 8"x8". I cut apart the many colors that are in a single newspaper and used them to create the ground and sky of this piece, and then found an image of a hot air balloon that I cut and rearranged into a more abstracted form. Then to add the effect of light hitting the ground, I added light posts using an ink pen, which I feel added more interest to the piece overall.
